We Believe,
The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired by God and are the revelation of God to humanity. They are the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternal and self-existing "I AM." He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth and the One who redeems humanity. God has revealed Himself as existing in a relationship and association as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The Lord Jesus Christ is divine, having been born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and willingly offered Himself as a substitute for our sins through His sacrificial death. After His bodily resurrection, He ascended to the right hand of the Father, providing assurance of His eventual return to Earth with immense power and glory.
Human beings were created good and upright; for God said, "Let us make humankind in our own image after our likeness" (Genesis 1: 26). However, humans by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God.
The only hope of the redemption of human beings is through the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
The ordinance of baptism by immersion "in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28: 18 - 20). The ordinance of the Lord's Supper is a memorial of the suffering of Christ and His death on the Cross.
All believers are entitled to and should eagerly expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts, and their uses in the work of the ministry.
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance.
Sanctification is the process of separating ourselves from what is evil and dedicating ourselves to God.
The Church is the Body of Christ, where God dwells through the Spirit, and it has a divine purpose to fulfill its great commission. Every believer who is born of the Spirit is a valuable part of the Church, which is known as the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn.
A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the fourfold purpose of leading the Church in the evangelization of the world, worship of God, building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son, and meeting the human need with ministries of love and compassion.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers.
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain until the Lord's return is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church.
The second coming of Christ encompasses the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope. This will be followed by the glorious return of Christ, along with His saints, to establish a thousand-year reign on earth.
There will be a final judgment where the wicked who have died will be resurrected and judged based on their actions. Those not found in the Book of Life, along with the devil, his angels, the beast, and the false prophet, will face everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, known as the second death.
The blessed hope of the believers is the New Heavens and the New Earth wherein dwells righteousness.
